So you think you can dance

So this weekend, I was getting lost (as usual) on Military Highway, was at a stop light, looked over to my right, and guess who's sitting in a volvo RIGHT next to me...o yea! Travis from last season's So You Think You Can Dance. This is a video of him in case u don't already know how AMAZING he is! I pretty much freaked out and didn't know what to do with myself!

Who are You?

After speaking with a couple people in the library the other day, I was curious to find out what temperament I was. So as promised...I took test and found out that I am a Sanguine/Choleric! (Aaron, you were right!) However I will disagree with the chronically late thing...I am most often always 10 min early for everything!

"The sanguine-choleric is the most extraverted of all the temperament combinations. With the addition of the choleric aspect, the optimistic, impulsive, fun-loving sanguine becomes more adept at follow-through, taking significant leadership roles, and juggling many projects without unduly sacrificing productivity. This temperament tends to be a happy combination of charm and decisiveness, creativity and analytical skill, friendliness and focus.

Your ability to connect with people balances out the domineering and relentless temperament of the pure choleric. You value relationships highly and make friends easily. You are insightful, enthusiastic, and affectionate; your sanguine capacity for dealing with people, combined with the leadership skills of the choleric, make you an excellent manager of people. You are also capable of constancy, dedication, and serious undertakings — though at times you may have been underestimated, due to your often humorous and light-hearted manner. You not only are capable of creative inspiration, but also you will find within yourself the persistence and drive needed to carry out your inspirations."

Find out what you are!

Still Alive

Well unfortunately, I was hit with some form of sickness this past week. The best part about it is the fact that the Dr. gave me medicine that made me throw up all day...yea, it was great! In the past week and a half, people in my office have been dropping like flies due to illness and disease. Someone had mono, and others just had the flu. I got my flu shot this year by a mean 'ol cranky woman so luckily I didn't have the flu. But regardless, I did have something and the medicine definitely wasn't helping. But now it seems like the worst is over and it's just going to be a very difficult recovery. :-(

Who am I to question?

I pose this question due to the fact I have recently had the assignment of coming up with a personal KM (knowledge management) strategy for my future. It had to be about a goal that you had, and mine was about my future career.

I am currently and Admissions Counselor for the school of Undergraduate Studies, however, that position is not what I ultimately have in mind as a career for the rest of my life. Just as I am here at Regent for only a time, I am also at this job for only a time.

I have always wanted to be a math teacher in high school. Everything up to 12th grade math, but NOT Calc. or Statistics...seeing as I didn't even take the latter and HATED/failed miserably at the former. That was originally what I wanted to do before going to Elim. It has been almost 4 years, and the idea still intrigues me...

I think to myself, if I do not continue with this job, I will not have money for school, but then I also see the box I am trying to contain God in. Who am I to question His ultimate plan for my life, and Who am I to say that God cannot provide. Now would it be stupid if this is what His idea of providing would be, and then me not taking it...YES, absolutely. But this is what I am unsure of. If this is the Lord providing, I, by no means want to ignore it. However, if it is not, and this is NOT what I am supposed to be doing, I do not want to remain here simply because it is comfortable for me to wrap my mind around. It does not require any faith or trusting. I am completely away from the edge, and there is no jumping required. Is that where He wants me though...not jumping?

I know one of the 12

As I was getting home from the gym last night, I received a phone call from my friend Drea. She asked if I was around a TV and I said, well yea. She then told me to turn to America's Next Top Model. Now, let me remind you that I was planning on watching this, but then decided not to because I went to the gym and took a nap before hand...benadryl...so now that I'm home, I turn on the TV and to my surprise RENEE ALWAY is on America's Next Top Model!

Oh yea, Renee went to Elim, the Bible school I attended before Regent, as well as her sister Angela. Oh the memories of those girls at Elim! They were from Florida and had been working at Disney World before hand. Angela was almost every Disney character imaginable! Renee did mostly Cruella Deville, and the wicked witch from Snow White...anyways, so yea.

It's on the new CW on Wednesday nights at either 8 or 9pm.
