Allergies to WHAT?!

Yeaaaaaaa. So i have NO idea what is going on with my FACE! BUT...i DO know that Benadryl is not my friend!

Yesterday I contracted to what seems to be an allergic reaction from who knows what! I have had a mild reaction on my face, but the fact that i just want to take a knife and carve my skin off generally brings me to the conclusion that I cannot fight the battle of taking benadryl or not taking it...

I end up taking it and then falling asleep in admissions meetings as well as behind my wheel. This could be seen as a bad thing...however...yea, i guess it just is a bad thing, plain and simple. I don't like allergic reactions to things i dont even KNOW...OR falling asleep and tripping over things due to drugs! ..don't do them kids, they are bad for you!

Oh and if you are wondering what the heck that is a picture of, it is of my face when i had a reaction in St. Croix, talk about NOT FUN...that is just a more severe version of what is happening now. Notice the fact that i have NO NOSE...OR a CHIN for that matter!

k4 Is Comin To Town

That's right, Kingdom Force is in Chesapeake as we speak and are headed this way! For all of you who do not know, this was the traveling ministry that I was a part of over the summer before I came here to Regent. They will be ministering at New Life at Great Bridge's Wednesday service and will be at Bethel Temple Thursday.

Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that
I am proud to be an American.

So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do.

Red Fridays.
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that ... every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.= If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is ..."We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday.

Stef gets Starbucks!

Mmm...the thought of pay day brings a smile to my face! Pay day means Stef gets Starbucks! Woohoo!

As my co-worker, Sarah, and I were talking about how much we wanted Starbucks, we decided that we both get to treat ourselves to Starbucks on payday (which is today)...unfortunately it isn't so much as treating ourselves because we seem to get it regardless of the money in our bank accounts.

Ho Ho Ho!

Ooops. wrong holiday! :-) Well Happy Valentines Day everyone! Last night RUC (Regent Undergrad Council) got together and made cookie packages that will be sold for $1 in the lobby of the student center today from 10am-3pm so if ya get a chance, stop by and support your council! And if you don't have a sweet tooth, I'm sure someone you know does and you can always bless them with a lil' lovin!

...just a side note. I was talking to one of my fellow OLM classmates and she was saying how even though she has had a significant other before, it's ironic how every Valentine's Day she has ended up single. She noted that she was somewhat relieved because that meant that hopefully (since she is not dating anyone now/isn't interested in anyone)...the first Valentine's Day she will be able to share with someone will be her future spouse. I found that to be somewhat interesting. Until then, make sure to tell the people that you do love how much you care and appreciate them! And every other day of the year for that matter!

Possessed coffee maker? Possibly.

As some of you may know, I have unfortunatly become an avid ebay-er. I am not always buying things per se, but it has definately become a major resource! ...for example when I wanted to get a programmable coffee maker so that I could wake up every morning to that fresh aroma with no effort at all! (well at least in the morning). Yesterday was the first weekday I was trying to use it and as I stumbled my way out of bed to my coffee maker, alas...there was no coffee! Upon further investigation I realized that the timer was set for 5:30 PM! *sigh*

This morning was a brand new morning that I was hoping I could put all things behind me, bitterness that is with my coffee maker, and try again. AGAIN I woke to no sweet aroma filling my nostrils! Now, let me assure you that I MADE SURE that it was not set for PM! ..and o yes, it was definately AM! However, when I looked at it, to my surprise, it still said PM. So basically I have no idea what is going on with my coffee maker, maybe I need to cast some demons out of it...If anyone has any idea what I am doing wrong or not doing, pleaaaaaaaaaase let me kno.

And that's where I'm from...

Wow! It's so hard to even BEGIN to remember what that much snow is like! My parents told me that they had 4in. every hour for like 2 days which totaled 5 feet only to be accompanied by another foot and a half the next day! Let's just say that Oswego is in a state of emergency and I'm here in nice 40 degree Virginia Beach. Ha...I know. Looks like my blood has already begun the thinnning process.

I do miss the snow though. However, I only miss it when I can curl up by the fireplace with a cup of tea (that is after I've already had my daily allowance of caffeine) in the comfort of my own home when I don't have to trudge through all of the snow, and when I want to ski, but that's pretty much it!

That picture of the bump in the ground is our picnic table COMPLETELY buried! O yea, and if you look a little further behind that, you will see what used to be our pool. Now all that is left is the deck. (May I inform you of the fact that our pool is above ground and comes up to my chin when I'm standing next to it) GONE!
